Discover Eurotechni’s waterjet cutting service.
Waterjet cutting, or “waterjet cutting” as our English-speaking friends call it. Behind this rather technical name is a machine capable of cutting all types of materials with precision. In most cases, waterjet cutting works by combining water — sometimes at over 3,000 bar — with an abrasive to ensure high-performance cutting across a wide range of materials. This cutting process generates no heat, making it ideal for working with materials such as G10, Micarta, Paperstone, carbon fibre, stone and even titanium for your handles and liner plates!
Waterjet cutting allows you to follow extremely precise dimensions, with perfect repeatability: in short, an ideal solution for production runs in knifemaking, saving you valuable time!
And whatever the size of your production run — from just a few parts to several hundred pieces — we are open to all projects. Shall we introduce you to this new service?
A waterjet cutting service tailored to your needs!
Eurotechni offers a waterjet cutting service for your knives, based on your drawings, which will of course be followed to the letter. Have your own material? You can send it to us, and we’ll take care of the rest!
Don’t have material on hand? No problem — we keep a wide range of composite materials in stock, from carbon fibre and G10 to Micarta, Richlite and Paperstone.
Waterjet cutting offers many advantages in knifemaking, especially if you are an artisan: it saves you from the physical strain of cutting operations, such as harmful material dust, while preserving your tools, which are sensitive to abrasive wear. A real time-saver on low value-added tasks, allowing you to focus on what really matters: putting your expertise to work!
In practical terms, how does it work?
Contact us and send us the drawing of your parts: a sketch, in JPEG or PDF format — ideally a .DXF file (vector format), for the more tech-savvy!
Tell us the type of material to be cut, whether you would like to send it to us or choose from our stock of materials (G10, Micarta, carbon fibre). We take care of the cutting, packaging and shipping. That’s really all you have to do. Interested in this service? Don’t hesitate — contact us today!

What is the principle behind waterjet cutting?
A waterjet cutting machine uses water pressurised to over 3,450 bar. This extremely fast water stream moves through a large mixing chamber. The water speed is so high that it draws an abrasive flow into the stream.
This high-speed mixture of water and abrasive then moves through a mixing tube. Inside this tube, the water and abrasive are combined into a high-speed mixture that then becomes the cutting tool.
The mixing tube focuses the high-speed jet slurry onto the material to be cut: it erodes it, thereby cutting it.
IN SHORT!
To conclude, if you are a knifemaker looking for an economical solution for waterjet cutting handle materials in small or medium production runs, our “Made in France by Eurotechni” waterjet cutting service is made for you!
